OVERVIEW & EXPERIENCE
Mr. Ashton served as an Assistant State Attorney until he retired in 2011. In 2012 he was elected to serve as the State Attorney of the Ninth Judicial and held that position through 2016. In 2018 he was elected to serve as a Judge of the Circuit Court. In 2020 he took over a division in which he presided over a general civil docket. Over the next three-and-a-half years, he presided over a broad variety of civil matters, including hundreds of contested hearings and thirty-two civil Jury trials.
